Earlier this year, our much beloved but very exhausted LAF Chairperson had to step aside for personal reasons. Until we can replace her, and as we haven't secured a location for this summer, LAF is officially on hold until 2025. Check back here for news as it develops!

Although LAF is primarily a plein air event, we encourage anyone who wants to create 'live' to join us in demonstrating your technique.

 

All artwork sold in the big tent includes a 40% commission to help support LAGS.

In 2023 we had different ways for artists & artisans to participate in LAF:

 

• 4' x 10' booths (1/2 small tent) for individual artists or shared by two to showcase a selection of pre-finished art and demonstrations. Booths must be attended 11am - 5pm, artwork will be sold through LAF for 40% commission.  10 BOOTHS AVAILABLE • $60/BOOTH

• Plein air/on site artists working live around the waterfront and throughout the town. Artwork will be picked up by runners as it is finished and sold in the LAF tent outside the Fisheries Museum. THERE IS NO PARTICIPATION LIMIT FOR PLEIN AIR PARTICIPANTS • $30 FOR LAGS MEMBERS, $35 FOR NON-MEMBERS

• Studio Tour Locations in and around Lunenburg, Blue Rocks and Tannery Rd. Studio tour artists may sell artwork themselves without any commission. THERE ARE 10 SLOTS AVAILABLE FOR LOCAL STUDIOS • $75 PER STUDIO

As this is a major source of income for the Lunenburg Art Gallery Society (LAGS), volunteers are a crucial part of achieving our funding goals.

Do you enjoy being around art and artists? You can participate, too! Besides our sponsors, it takes a small army of volunteers keep this show on the road. If you'd like to volunteer to help organize future Lunenburg Arts Fest weekends please let us know!
