The Art of our Community

Welcome to the LAGS

The Lunenburg Art Gallery Society was founded in 1972 under the auspices of the Heritage Society, initially to provide a home and display area for a collection of paintings by noted local artist, Earl Bailly. LAGS has since evolved into an independent non-profit society with approximately 150 members and our bright Lincoln Street gallery is a popular art destination. Open March to October, visitors are thrilled with the diversity and quality of the art available in our Gallery, at LAF, and in our other programs.

About Our Gallery

Everyone is Welcome

We welcome artists with every level of skill and experience. You don't even have to be an artist! All you have to do is join.

In 2022 we will mount a new Member Exhibition on the first Friday of every month, April - October. For an annual membership fee of $40 ($20 for students) every member can participate in each of these shows.

We are a volunteer-run gallery and we encourage all members to donate time and skills if possible. Please note there is a 40% commission on all sales of artwork.
