March 1st - 23rd, 2024

Draw, Paint, Art!

For over 25 years, LAGS has hosted an annual exhibition of artwork by local students. This year, the kids & their teachers are working hard once more, a fantastic opportunity for art classes to showcase their work to the public in a real gallery space. Please visit us every March for this excellent extravaganza of art by kids in grades 6-12 from schools across the South Shore. Open Thursdays thru Sundays and every day during March Break from 11am - 4pm. In 2023 we had artwork from Park View Education Centre, Bluenose Academy, Forest Heights Community School, New Germany Rural High School and Bayview Community School. Local teachers who wish to participate may email us at gallery@lunenburgartgallery.ca for more information.

Primary students may exhibit at the DesBrisay Museum in April.

Information for Teachers

Our annual school show is held every year during March. All teachers in the SSRCE instructing art, grades 6 - 12 are invited to participate. Each school is given at least 10ft of white wall space, depending on the number of schools each year. You may hang your own class' artwork or someone at the gallery will do it for you. We will do our best to mount the best possible exhibition. Someone will be available for art intake between 4-6 on the Tuesday & Wednesday before the show. Let us know asap if you need to make alternative arrangements.

Please provide a label with students name, teacher and the name of your school for each piece of artwork. If you’re too crunched for time, you can send a list to gallery@lunenburgartsociety.ca and we can print the labels beforehand.
