Celebrating 50 Years!
Welcome to LAGS
The Lunenburg Art Gallery Society was founded in 1972 under the auspices of the Heritage Society, to provide a home and display area for a collection of paintings by local artist, Earl Bailly. LAGS has since evolved into an independent society with around 150 members and our bright Lincoln Street gallery is a popular destination.
The Art of Our Community
Everyone is Welcome
We welcome artists with every level of skill and experience. You don't even have to be an artist! All you have to do is join.
In 2023 we will mount a new exhibition on the first Friday of every month, April - October. For an annual membership fee of $40 ($20 for students) every member can participate in each of these shows.
We are a volunteer-run gallery and we encourage all members to donate time and skills if possible. Please note there is a 40% commission on all sales of artwork.
November - February
There are still 6 weeks left to rent the gallery! Have an idea for workshops, solo shows, group shows, demonstrations, photo sessions, artist talks or private party? For more information, please contact our House Manager Terry Morris at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you will be renting the gallery this season, please forward all promotional material to email@example.com and we will do our best to post & share.
Our regular season may be over, but stick around for a bonanza of pop-up shows, workshops and art-related activities during the fall/winter season. Click through the slide-show above for upcoming events.
