Celebrating 52 Years!

Welcome to LAGS

The Lunenburg Art Gallery Society was founded in 1972 under the auspices of the Heritage Society, to provide a home for a paintings by local artist, Earl Bailly. LAGS has since evolved into an independent society with over 150 members and our Lincoln Street gallery is a popular destination.

The Art of Our Community

Everyone is Welcome

We welcome artists with every level of skill and experience. You don't even have to be an artist! All you have to do is join.

In 2024 we will mount a new exhibition on the first Friday of every month, April - October.  For an annual membership fee of $40 ($20 for students) every member can participate in each of these shows.

We are a volunteer-run gallery and we encourage all members to donate time and skills if possible. Please note there is a 40% commission on all sales of artwork.

March 1 - 23, 2024

Draw, Paint, Art! Secondary School Art Exhibition

For over 25 years, LAGS has hosted an annual exhibition of artwork by local students. The kids & their teachers are working hard once more, a fantastic opportunity for art classes to showcase their work to the public in a real gallery space. Please visit us in March for this excellent extravaganza of art by kids in grade 6-12 from schools across the South Shore. Open Thursdays thru Sundays and every day during March Break from 11am - 4pm. Featuring artwork from Parkview Education Centre, Forest Heights Community School, New Germany Rural High School, Bluenose Academy and Bayview Community School.

Additional schools are always welcome! Local teachers who wish to participate may email us at gallery@lunenburgartsociety.ca for more information.
