Celebrating 54 Years!

Welcome to LAGS

The Lunenburg Art Gallery Society was founded in 1972 to promote the legacy of local artist Earl Bailly, and provide a home for his collection of artwork.

LAGS has also evolved into an independent society with over 150 members and our Lincoln Street

gallery is a popular destination.

The Art of Our Community

Everyone is Welcome

We welcome artists with every level of skill and experience. You don't even have to be an artist! All you have to do is join.

In 2025 we will mount a new exhibition on the first Friday of every month, April - October.  For an annual membership fee of $40 ($20 for students) every member can participate in each of these shows.

We are a volunteer-run gallery and we encourage all members to donate time and skills if possible. Please note there is a 40% commission on all sales of artwork.

Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the Lunenburg Art Gallery Society will be held on

Sunday, February 22nd at 2 pm AST. Our AGM reference documents will posted to our website in the coming weeks so you can access them at your convenience.

This will be our sixth online AGM.  Meeting on-line is the next best thing to being there. It permits members to attend virtually, who may not normally be able to attend because of their distance from the gallery. We hope you’ll find time to attend this year’s meeting.
