Celebrating 53 Years! 

Welcome to LAGS

The Lunenburg Art Gallery Society was founded in 1972 under the auspices of the Heritage Society, to provide a home for a paintings by local artist, Earl Bailly. LAGS has since evolved into an independent society with over 150 members and our Lincoln Street gallery is a popular destination.

The Art of Our Community

Everyone is Welcome

We welcome artists with every level of skill and experience. You don't even have to be an artist! All you have to do is join.

In 2025 we will mount a new exhibition on the first Friday of every month, April - October.  For an annual membership fee of $40 ($20 for students) every member can participate in each of these shows.

 

We are a volunteer-run gallery and we encourage all members to donate time and skills if possible. Please note there is a 40% commission on all sales of artwork.

April 4 - 26

Fresh & Flirty

Showing off our brightest and sassiest to begin the new season. Each month we feature one artist on our Small Stuff shelves - this month's artist is dollmaker and textile artist Linda Mackie Finley.

The gallery is open Wednesdays thru Sundays from 11am - 4pm.

​

Unfortunately, there won't be an opening reception this month but we'd still love to see you! Opening Receptions/First Fridays event begin June 6th, 2025.

May 2 - 31

Birds of a Feather

Flock together!​​​​ Any artwork ornithological in nature.

​

Each month we feature one artist on our Small Stuff shelves - this month's artist is sculptor and ceramacist Miro Davis.

​​​

The gallery is open Wednesdays to Sundays from 11am till 4pm.

​

Artwork intake for May will be April 27 & 28 from 1-4pm. Artists, please register your piece before Friday, April 25th. 

​​

There will not be an opening reception for this show, please join us for the first First Friday event of 2025 on June 6th.
