Celebrating 54 Years!
Welcome to LAGS
The Lunenburg Art Gallery Society was founded in 1972 to promote the legacy of local artist Earl Bailly, and provide a home for his collection of artwork.
LAGS has also evolved into an independent society with over 150 members and our Lincoln Street
gallery is a popular destination.

The Art of Our Community
Everyone is Welcome
We welcome artists with every level of skill and experience. You don't even have to be an artist! All you have to do is join.

In 2025 we will mount a new exhibition on the first Friday of every month, April - October. For an annual membership fee of $40 ($20 for students) every member can participate in each of these shows.
We are a volunteer-run gallery and we encourage all members to donate time and skills if possible. Please note there is a 40% commission on all sales of artwork.

MARCH 1 - 22
Draw, Paint, Art! Annual Student Exhibition
Our annual exhibition of artwork by local students, grades 6 - 12. Last year's schools were Bayview Community School, Bluenose Academy, Forest Heights Community School, New Germany Rural High School and Park View Education Centre.
If you are a teacher at any school in the SSRCE and would like to participate, please get in touch at gallery@lunenburgartsociety.ca. We'd love to hear from you!

November - February
Rent The Gallery
Current LAGS Members can rent our gallery at the end of our eight-month season. It's a clean, open space over 800sqft, with large front windows, lots of lighting and street parking. Host a workshop, art club, mount your own solo show or share it with as many friends as you would like. Check HERE for more information.

FEBRUARY 22
Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting of the Lunenburg Art Gallery Society will be held on
Sunday, February 22nd at 2 pm AST. Our AGM reference documents will posted to our website in the coming weeks so you can access them at your convenience.
This will be our sixth online AGM. Meeting on-line is the next best thing to being there. It permits members to attend virtually, who may not normally be able to attend because of their distance from the gallery. We hope you’ll find time to attend this year’s meeting.
