In the late seventies Paul Clarke retired from commercial art and moved to the country with his family to become a full-time landscape artist. His work was exhibited at several galleries in Halifax and Montreal and can be found in Private collections in Canada, the United States, England and Australia.
In the early nineties he turned his attention to the carving and realistic painting of the birds of Nova Scotia. The birds are mounted on driftwood and stone gathered from the Fundy coast and represent the wide variety of field, shore and woodland species that inhabit our province.
