Norma Worden began painting in oils in the 1950's after emigrating to
Quebec from Preston, England. Her interest then shifted to fabric arts. For
almost 30 years, Norma exhibited her quilts and wall hangings. She taught
quilting in Montreal and Nova Scotia's South Shore. After moving from
Shelburne to Lunenburg in the late 1990's, she returned to painting--
this time in watercolours, taught by Mary Brownless.
"My inspirations are landscapes, seascapes and architecture, working
from on-site sketches and my own photographs." Norma explains.
