Marion, born in Westport, Digby County NS, has lived in many centres of Atlantic Canada including Liverpool, Amherst and Halifax in Nova Scotia; Grand Falls NL and Fredericton NB. She is very much a Maritimer and enjoys painting the many scenes around her.

Education
Graduating from Digby High School, Marion attended Nova Scotia Teachers College and later The Nova Scotia College of Art & Design. She taught for several years in NS. While living in Fredericton, Marion took courses in art from noted artists Molly Bobak and Fred Ross at the UNB extension programs.

Artwork
Bustin's early work was in oil but the last several years she has concentrated on watercolours. In this medium, Marion works in the winter months with a group of artists, all of whom have similar interests. In the summer, her work is hung in several South Shore locations near her Broad Cove home in Lunenburg County.

Exhibitions
Marion has had a solo exhibit at the Dartmouth Heritage Museum and has exhibited in numerous juried exhibitions. In 2006, several of her paintings were displayed in a juried exhibit of Associate Canadian Painters in Watercolours held in Halifax. Her paintings are in private collections in both Canada and the USA.
