Jane began painting after moving to Lunenburg from Toronto in 1994, having spent over thirty-five years in financial services.The pace and life-style of Atlantic Canada inspired her to pursue her lifelong desire to paint.

She is mostly self-taught and prefers to work in acrylics and oils. Her subjects are varied and she enjoys the challenge of painting light and shadows. Family pets are a current favourite, along with still lifes and studies.
She is especially pleased when she finds the chance to incorporate a touch of whimsy in her works.

Her paintings have found homes across Canada and the United States.
