Garry Macey, a Lunenburg resident, shares his avid birdwatching through the use of watercolour and acrylic. His realistic depiction of North American birds is inspired by artists such as Lansdowne, Bateman and Peterson. Garry uses photos and extensive field studies in achieving detail and personality in his subjects. As a committed conservationist his current project is preserving Maritime endangered bird species(17) in paint. Garry is an arts graduate of Laurier University (B.A.) and York University (M.A.). Private collectors in New York, Mexico, Central and Maritime Canada enjoy his birds.
