Subjects: nature, still life

I grew up and lived in the city of Montreal. Later in life I moved to small towns and villages in Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia. In recent years I have moved to the beautiful South Shore. I presently live on Herman’s Island where I draw my inspiration from the abundance of nature that surrounds me. I have been painting for several years, thanks to a friend, Mary Brownless, a well known watercolour artist, who gave me interest and basic instruction. Also Ruby Stewart, who is a well known artist on the South Shore for her watercolours, gave me a great deal of encouragement. I took my middle name, ‘Olga’ to sign my paintings, simply because it was short and seemed pleasing to me. Most of my subject matter is from nature and the occasional still life that takes my interest.
