Colleen was raised on the Prairies, lived in Ontario for a number of years and has recently moved to Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.

Her passion for painting did not develop until she took early retirement in the mid 1990's. Prior to that time she had been an avid traveller and gardener. These two interests have led to and are reflected in her paintings.

Initially, her painting demonstrated her botanical interests. However, after spending time in the south of France and then moving to Lunenburg, her paintings display her love of colour and energy. Although she still paints in watercolour, her art now has evolved to include other media such as acrylic.

Colleen's work has appeared in exhibitions in Ontario, Scotland and Nova Scotia and is held in private collections in Canada, the United States, New Zealand and Scotland.
