Beverly Hawksworth
Beverly Hawkesworth was born and raised in the Lunenburg area. Having lived here all her life, she has always loved the outdoors and nature but being diagnosed with MS in 2000, she soon found herself being less and less able to be doing all the physical things she used to enjoy in the outdoors.
After having mentioned to her eldest daughter of a desire to learn to paint in 2007, she received a gift months later of paint supplies. At first she thought she had the wrong gift but was reminded of the comment.
Beverly then decided to take on the challenge. At first everything seemed awkward and frustrating but as time passed her passion grew to a love of the pastime and that loved showed in her work with the increase of her ability, skill and also in the numerous pieces of work she was able to create.
